Daily Wire Releases Action Film, Then Follows You To Your Car To Explain It

Ben Shapiro, a man who has never once in his life left an argument unfinished, sat down with Mark Levin this weekend to discuss Run Hide Fight: Infidels, the Daily Wire's new action film, which Shapiro produced, greenlit, and apparently now also has to sell in person, one cable interview at a time.

The film, a sequel to the Daily Wire's 2021 shooter-response thriller Run Hide Fight, follows a protagonist who does exactly those three things, presumably in that order, presumably against enemies the title has already characterized as infidels, which is doing a lot of heavy lifting before the opening credits.

Levin opened the interview by calling the film 'fantastic,' a review he delivered with the energy of a man who had been told what word to use and had chosen to honor the assignment. Shapiro then took the baton and ran with it, explaining at considerable length why the movie exists, what it is trying to say, why it says it well, and why the people who made it, including himself, should be commended for having made it.

It is a remarkable thing to watch a man review his own film on television. Most directors do this quietly, in the privacy of their own homes, at two in the morning, refreshing their Rotten Tomatoes page. Shapiro did it in a suit, with a microphone, in front of an audience that had already theoretically decided whether to watch the movie before tuning in to hear about it.

President Trump, a man with genuinely excellent instincts for content that is about someone praising something he likes, shared the video to his social media accounts, effectively telling his forty million followers: here is Ben Shapiro telling you why a Ben Shapiro production is worth your time, I agree, watch it.

The White House did not release a statement on the film's third-act pacing, though sources close to the administration confirmed that the president found the endorsement 'very powerful' and the interview 'a lot of people are saying very informative.'

Sources at the Daily Wire, meanwhile, confirmed that the marketing strategy going forward will involve Shapiro appearing on as many programs as possible to explain what the movie is about, why it is good, and what a viewer should feel upon watching it, a service typically provided by the film itself.

Ask Shapiro about the critical response and he will tell you the critics are wrong. Ask him about the box office and he will explain that box office is a globalist metric. Ask him why he is still talking about a movie that has already been released and he will produce, from somewhere, a seventeen-minute argument for why that is the correct question to ask.

Run Hide Fight: Infidels is in theaters now, a fact Shapiro would like to discuss further at your earliest convenience.
